The Billien OBU 5050 is ready for the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS).
The on-board unit (OBU) is a hybrid electronic and technological device enabling the vehicle to be clearly identified and positioned by the electronic toll system without stopping the vehicle (systems without toll gantries).
Satellite GPS technology
for determining the vehicle position (GNSS: GPS, GLONASS and GALILEO) – it provides for collection of data concerning the use of the specified road sections
GSM / GPRS technology
for communication within mobile networks, it provides for the transfer of data between the on-board unit and other information systems within the electronic toll system
Microwave DSRC technology
for short-distance communication, it provides for the checking of toll payers within the process of toll collection enforcement
